Retro Blood 115: Gremlins

Welcome back to The Retro Blood as we continue our 3rd annual Holiday Horror review month in the 1980’s. Up Next, we celebrate our 3rd annual Christmas episode with a full review of the 1980’s Classic “Gremlins”. 
Join James Kline and J. A Alison as we sell you our gimmicks that may or may not work. We start off with some quick thoughts on the film and PG ratings turning some movies into PG 13 because of this movie and of course our annual beer reviews.
Then we get into our weekly History Segment where we talk about what was going on in Pro Wrestling and Metal around the movie release date June 8, 1984. 
In Pro Wrestling we continue to talk the territory World Class from Texas with their weekly TV show from June 9, 1984, with a great Michael P.S Hayes match. 
In Metal we talk about some big Album release at this time with Prince and Van Halen. We also talk about the big blockbuster movies that all got released around the same time. Then we get into Who book this Shit!!
We talked about the director Joe Dante and what he has done in film and why he got picked for the job by Steven Spielberg. 
We talked about why this film was made and why Comedy and horror were big sellers during this time period. 
We talk about the “Gremlins "backstory from a RAF aircraft failure being blamed on “Gremlins”. We talked about the writer Chris Columbus and why Steven Spielberg wanted to produce this film. 
Then we get into the full review with Randall trying to sale his gimmicks, Billy trying to juggle a job, a new creature and trying to get some ass. We talk Kate the love interest and her dark backstory. We talk Mogwai AKA Devil and the three things you can’t do with them. We talk one of James Kline favorite pick up lines from this movie and so much more.
